Our Story

Man & His Mutt was founded on the principle of offering accessible animal education services and pet care for the Philadelphia area, especially in our community of Germantown! We are dedicated to bridging the gap between mankind and their mutts! Alex Cost leads our little team at Man & His Mutt and has worked with animals for his entire life. Alex is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) and Certified Professional Animal Care Manager (CPACM) and believes that effective training starts with owner education. Alex has also been trained in K9 CPR and First Aid! At Man & His Mutt, our goal is to enhance the bond between humans and their dogs and to empower owners to better communicate with, and handle, their own pups. Our training philosophy is rooted in a deep love for animals and a commitment to their well-being. We specialize in reactivity, aggression, anxiety, and adaptive training for disabled pets, but can help with almost all of your training needs!
